Innovative Concrete, LLC is a Commercial Concrete company seeking a qualified and experienced Commercial Concrete Foreman to join our growing team and help get our South Dakota Division up and running. We are looking for individuals with extensive knowledge and experience in the Commercial Concrete Industry as a Foreman.

This is a full-time position near Rapid City, SD, Ellsworth, AFB, and surrounding areas. Some travel may be required, depending on future project locations.

Job Type: Full-time / 40+ hours per week

Salary: We offer competitive wages that are be based on skill and experience.

• Concrete Foreman: $29.00 - $32.00 (depending on experience)

Experience & Qualifications:

• Must be able to pass a drug screening.

• Must possess a valid driver license and qualify to drive under company vehicle policy.

• Minimum 10 years of construction experience. Minimum of 3 years experience working as a Concrete Foreman.
• Must possess advanced knowledge of commercial concrete construction.
• Experience managing project from beginning to end.
• Understands building codes and other design requirements.
• Must be able to read and understand plans, blueprints, and specifications.
• Experience in planning day to day operations, as well as working with management to forecast schedules.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Experience with managing crews is necessary. Must be able to adapt in working with all types of individuals.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Requirements:

• Attend pre-construction meetings.
• Read, understand, and interpret plans and specifications as required and coordinate with team to ensure work is completed according to plans and specifications.
• Plan and coordinate with General Superintendent and Project Manager the materials needed for scope of work.

• Plan day to day operations to forecast schedules.
• Manage job site, material, equipment, and crews.
• Maintain good communication skills with field and office personnel.
• Inspect work areas to ensure timely and successful completion of construction projects as agreed.
• Provide strong attention to detail while producing accurate and high-quality work within budget and schedule.

• Oversee, manage, and document all day-to-day job site activities.
• Responsible time tracking accuracy.

• Ensure company policy, procedures, and standards are enforced.

• Manage and mentor the field and project team successfully and collaboratively.
• Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with all personnel to ensure that team efforts are maximized and the highest quality product is delivered to our customer.
• Maximize problem-solving through communication with coworkers and work hard to find solutions to problems.
• Responsible for all project safety.

• Maintain all paperwork needed for jobsite.

• Perform on-site coordination of manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Conduct inspections of construction.
• Complete tasks/projects on time.

• Operate a variety of hand and power tools to include but not limited to circular saws, demolition saws, jigsaws, grinders, jack hammers, concrete saws, etc.
• Setting of concrete footing, wall, and slab forms. Ensure that forms are properly constructed for concrete pours.
• Concrete Finishing of all types of concrete structures and flatwork.
• Spread, level, and smooth concrete using rakes, shovels, hand or power trowels, hand or power screeds, and floats. (Experienced in operating rider trowels preferred.)

• Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secures job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.

• Diligently maintain the appearance of company equipment by keeping tools clean, handling and storing materials, and keeping trucks and trailers organized.
• Ability to work long hours.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, if required.

• Must be willing and able to work in adverse weather conditions, all while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Must be willing and able to travel to various job sites as required.

• Must be dependable. Must have regular, prompt, and reliable attendance.
• Other related duties as assigned or needed.
