As we remain very busy due to growth, we are looking to add a Collections associate to our accounts receivable department.

The role provides you with the chance to work with a cohesive team, in a position where the right person will have a strong desire to multitask, keep busy and make self directed decision as you play an integral role within the corporate team.

This is not a "hard" collections role, instead our AR team seeks to create relationships with our customers as we know many have been with us for many years, and our aim is to ensure those relationships stay strong for many more.

Responsibilities

The main requirements of the role is to handle accounts receivable and collections for assigned regions:

Essential Duties:

• Collections for assigned regions that includes machine sales as well as parts and service invoices. For collections of machines sales, need to be flexible and willing to investigate if invoices are due based on status of install and training ; lots of opportunities to partner and communicate with the local office(s).
• Our customers are returning customers thus strong communication skills are necessary to build relationships with customers and the Ellison offices.
• Setting-up customer accounts, including proper sales tax settings.
• Attend virtually weekly region collection meetings and update aging with collection notes.
• Review customer credit history and paydex for AR credit approvals.
• Set-up customer payments terms based on credit history and credit references.
• Update AR aging with collection status.
• Email or load invoices into customers' portals.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements are:

• Minimum one year of experience in collections including B2B
• Demonstrated strong working knowledge of MS Office including Excel and Outlook
• High School Diploma is also required
• Experience with Salesforce and / or Epicor is a plus
• Needs to think independently and be able to live in the "gray"; there are lots of factors to consider, strong business decision making is an imperative
