We have an immediate opening for a CMT Technician in Lead, SD - $3,000 bonus at 6 Months.
Job Description:
- CMT (Construction Materials Testing) Technician is a mid-level position with a focus on field and laboratory services to support materials testing client.
- Prefer a candidate with 2-year college Associates degree and proficient computer skills.
- Work will involve field testing of soils, concrete, shotcrete, re-enforced steel and other testing deemed part of the scope of work.
- Additional work will include performing lab testing of soil, aggregate, concrete and other materials for quality control.
- Perform project duties related to management and recording of field and lab data for Project Manager.
- Work schedule will be 5 days per week, 10 hours per working day, on night shifts in Lead, South Dakota for a long-term project.
- For out of region candidates may have opportunities for boarding provided on a case to case basis.
Job Requirements:
- Prefer 1-3 years of experience in construction materials testing with current certifications from accredited training organizations (i.e. DOT, ACI, AWS, CWI, etc). Also, 2-4 year degrees in Construction, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, can be taken into consideration for experience on a case to case basis.
- Must possess strong communication and computer skills, work will be 40 hrs per week, with 10 plus hours of overtime work including some weekends and nights as required by project timelines.
- A valid driver's license.
- Pre-employment drug screening required.
