In-Depth Engineering is seeking a Gun Weapons System/Close in Weapons System (CIWS) Technician to join our team in Pascagoula, MS. This individual will be supporting our Aegis Ship Integration and Test (SI&T) program - specifically all phases of AWS/ACS shipboard testing in support of the J-16 contract test requirements. This is a permanent, full-time position.
Duties:
Engineering/technical evaluations, assessments, functional checks, technical assists, troubleshooting, test, analysis, equipment repair, installation, operation and maintenance for the PHALANX Weapons System and subsystems
Monitoring ship's construction in combat system spaces to ascertain readiness for equipment load out, AEGIS light off and sea trial readiness
Reporting/documenting issues noted
Assist the shipbuilder in resolving detail design and engineering problems related to the AEGIS Combat System
Assist ship's force/government personnel analyze/resolve issues detected during equipment installation, operation and testing.
Participate and assist in Ship's Force training and rehearsals in preparation for sea trial events.
Qualifications:
AAS degree with 5+ years of experience, or 9+ years of experience without a degree
Experience with large scale Ship Integration and Test Practices
Must be physically able to work aboard a US Navy ship and support short underway periods
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
US Citizen
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret security clearance
