In M Health Fairview's Lab Department, we have an opportunity for a Client Service Specialist (CSS) that will serve as a primary customer contact. This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours/2 weeks) dedication, working Evening Shift with rotating weekends and holidays . The hours for this role would be 1:30-10pm , although initial training would include day shift hours. This opportunity is located at our Midway Corporate Campus in Saint Paul. Responsibilities The CSS performs a variety of routine and problem-solving tasks to ensure that needs are met, and that accurate information is acquired to allow the laboratory to complete testing and billing functions promptly and efficiently. In addition, the CSS actively participates in crafting and implementing improvements. Job Expectations: + Maintains files, acquires billing information, sorts and distributes mail, assists with data entry, and registers outpatients for lab procedures. + Performs specimen collection and processing to ensure the accurate and appropriate performance of testing while maintaining patient's dignity and confidentiality. + Follows all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards. Complies and promotes laboratory safety and infection control policies to ensure safe work environment. Qualifications The qualified candidate will be a high school graduate (equivalent accepted) and have at least 1 year of customer service experience. Completion of CMA/MA is highly valued!
