$0.50 increases every 6 months (dependent on number of hours worked) up to max $18.06

What You'll Be Doing:
Supporting the well-being and dignity of marginalized people by providing them with a clean and sanitary living environment. This includes:
Sweeping, mopping, polishing, and refinishing floors
Vacuuming and shampooing carpeted areas
Picking up debris, disposing of garbage and recycling
Cleaning and disinfecting kitchens, bathrooms, halls, elevators, offices, board rooms, restrooms and lunchrooms; cleaning and polishing fixtures and appliances
Washing walls, windows and upholstered furniture as assigned.
Maintaining cleaning equipment.
Working and maintaining strong communication with a team of front line staff and partners to support service users and maintain program health and safety standards
Additional duties as required.
Potential Hazards:
You may encounter people in crisis, under the influence and with complex issues
You may be required to perform duties such as the cleaning and sanitizing of bodily fluids and disposal of safe injection material
What We Need from You:
Minimum of Grade 10 education
Previous cleaning experience preferred
Time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail
Able to lift up to 25kg.
Able to read text and communicate orally in English. Ability to communicate in other languages is considered an asset.
For successful candidates:
A recent vulnerable sector check completed at maximum 3 months prior to employment offer.
Health and Safety Training completed during onboarding and updated annually.
