Job Overview

KBR is seeking multiple Structural Engineers to join our team!


  • Duration: Long Term contract with possibility of converting direct after contract assignment

LNG experience would be preferred, but not mandatory (if not, must have industry experience in Refinery, Petrochemical, & Chemical Facilities).


Responsibilities:


Work in small teams responsible for conceptual estimates, preliminary design and final design on large capital projects. Design task could include modifications to existing structures, foundations and paving/drainage features (catch basins, sumps, containment areas, etc.). May be responsible for generating material estimates and track quantity changes over life of project. Experience in the design of structural steel multi-level process structures and pipe racks per AISC 360, equipment and structural foundations to ACI 318 and conceptual design work for estimating project costs. Work task will also include Design tasks may entail working independently or as lead of small teams of engineers. In the lead role responsible for team budget, schedule development deliverable quality. Expected to be capable of working under minimal supervision and be able to formulate solutions to a broad range of design tasks.


Qualifications:


BS in Civil Engineering, 5+ yrs. experience structural engineering on industrial type projects. Proficient in STAADPro, MAT3D, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Excel. Candidates should be able to demonstrate an aptitude for solving non-standard design problems, be able to work with a variety of client requirements and work processes and be able to manage workload to meet client delivery expectations. PE license beneficial but not required.
