We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and experienced Civil Roadway Engineering Team Leader to join our growingDesign Management Serviceteam inAustin, Texas. This role works closely with a diverse team of engineers, designers, and specialists to deliver projects to a variety of clients includingmunicipalities, counties, commercial and industrial entities. JobResponsibilities Oversee a team of four (4) to eight (8) design engineers and engineers in training (EITs). Be responsible for staff development, approving timesheets, expense reports, etc. Coach, mentor, and challenge staff. Lead by example. Assist Group Leaders in business development while promoting the company to maintain and grow existing client accounts and capture new clients. Be involved in leadingCivil Engineeringrelated project aspects includingstudies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimatesand participate in client meetings. Projects may include planning, modeling, and design of facilities such as water and wastewater treatment plants, lift stations, pump stations, utilities (water transmission, gravity sanitary sewer mains, force mains, etc.), drainage design, site plans, roadway, and other miscellaneous design projects. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders. Provide project management on multiple small to medium sized projects that results in successful outcomes for the client, the company, and staff. Ensure budgets and schedules are adhered to. Ability to execute engineering best practices forcivil engineeringprojects for a wide variety of clients, adapting to new environments quickly. Requirements Minimum8years of professional experience in engineering with a minimum of4years project management and a focus oncivil engineeringproject delivery. Professional Engineering License in Texas; or the ability to become licensed within three (3) months. Successful track record of project delivery through planning, preliminary and final design, including a proven track record and strong desire of providing superior client service and delivery. Proven ability in leading a team of design engineers and EITs. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on time and within budget. Strong communications skills both written and oral. Must interface well with and develop a rapport and positive relationship with our clients and employees. Able to create budgets and maintain them on both the project level and corporate level. Successful experience participating in the business development process within a team environment and overseeing staff. Experience with clienteles such asmunicipalities, counties, commercial and industrial entities. Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in Civil Engineering. 10+ years of civil engineering design related experience, including PS&E design experience Demonstrated civil engineering design and project management experience on a variety of projects. Demonstrated project management experience with projects involving Texas municipalities and regulatory agencies. Experienced with proposal development, client presentations and relationship development Demonstrated success in achieving scope, schedule, and budget goals.
