We've got what you're looking for. Job Description: Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Civil Roadway Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to primarily support WSDOT projects and works on various projects with the regional transportation planning agencies, counties, cities, and transit agencies in the State of Washington. What You'll Be Doing: + Under the guidance of a more senior engineer, perform various roadway engineering and design assignments requiring the application of engineering techniques, procedures and design criteria for projects ranging in size and complexity. + Utilize drafting and 3D modeling software, tools, and programs, to develop conceptual and detailed designs. + Perform design calculations including material quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimates. + Assist in the production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans and specifications for assigned projects. + Assist in the preparation of detailed requisitions for material purchase, services, and subcontracts. + Provide input to CAD Designer/Drafters working on the same project. + Perform basic geometric design alignments for road and highway projects + Design of ramps, highways, and interchanges as knowledge grows + Utilize Microstation and Autocad for design work What Required Skills You'll Bring: + Refer to Job Description for Education and Experience Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) is required + 3 years or more experience with road and highway design + Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate is essential. + Professional Engineer (PE) Registration is desirable, but not required What Desired Skills You'll Bring: + Proficiency in utilizing AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation Geopak and/or InRoads, is essential + The ability to communicate and effectively participate as part of an engineering team. + Solid aptitude for leaning more advanced design engineering skills + Excellent verbal communication skills + Willingness to work in an office team environment Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Not Applicable/None This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.
