Based in Langford, BC, Westbrook Consulting consists of a highly skilled group of professionals and support staff. Westbrook provides the expertise required to design and manage municipal infrastructure from initial concept to project completion. Our highly skilled and versatile staff can manage a wide range of projects, while maintaining project timelines and meeting client expectations.

Westbrook's primary focus is infrastructure engineering, designing water, sanitary, and storm systems for proposed developments, municipalities, and utilities. Westbrook staff are experienced in assessing the condition and capacity of existing infrastructure, in providing recommendations, and in detailed design for necessary upgrades. Westbrook utilizes modelling software for water, sanitary, and storm systems to identify catchment demands and loads, as well as pipe capacities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day project management of a variety of Municipal Infrastructure and Land Development projects.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing engineering services proposals for prospective projects;
  • Preparing reports and calculations;
  • Liaising with clients, government officials, local utilities, and other stakeholders;
  • Overseeing field staff in carrying out engineering survey work as it relates to specific projects;
  • Coordinating the schematic, preliminary, and detailed design work;
  • Preparing tender documents and contract administration;
  • Overseeing project field reviews during construction; and
  • Obtaining final approvals and sign-offs from required jurisdictions.

Qualifications:

  • Registration or Eligible for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC, the Applied Science Technicians and Technologists of BC, or equivalent local experience;
  • Team oriented personality;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Able to manage multiple projects, deliverables, and deadlines; and
  • Ability to problem solve.

Wage and vacation allotment dependent on credentials.
