Your Opportunity Stantec's multi-disciplinary office located in Sheridan, Wyoming has an opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced civil engineer with project management and municipal experience. We seek a team player who desires a highly collaborative work environment, has excellent client and communication skills and a strong background of design and construction engineering experience. This position requires an individual with strong leadership and proven management and business development skills to support growth, lead projects, and mentor junior staff. The successful candidate will be required to manage multiple projects simultaneously and will be responsible for collaborating with the local office and remote project team, managing scope and deliverables, developing and managing project budgets, and performing internal and external project status reporting. Your Key Responsibilities Execute project delivery and direct supervision over professional and technical staff. Execute internal, client, contractor, and public communications. Day-to-day management of multiple multi-disciplinary engineering projects in developing plan sets, specifications, budgets, and schedules to meet or exceed our clients' expectations. This may include working with project team members form various office locations. Lead, coordinate and delegate, proposal, contract, administration and project management efforts Collaboration with other company internal groups and disciplines and sub-consultants. Professional engineering design and project oversight including Quality Assurance and Quality Control. Qualifications Your Capabilities and Credentials 8 years of progressive civil engineering design experience. An emphasis in municipal infrastructure design and construction a plus. Exceptional organizational, technical, leadership, written and oral communication skills with the ability to solve problems and direct others. Proven knowledge and skills with a cadd program (AutoCad Civil 3D or Bentley products), Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Demonstrate ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Strong stakeholder interaction skills, between internal teams and external client. Possess a valid driver's license. Preference given to candidates originally from or presently residing in the State of Wyoming. Must become a resident of Wyoming within 4-months of accepting offer. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. Wyoming Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain in the first 6 months of employment. Work Environment and Physical Demands Indoor (Office Environment) Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting. Noise level varies but generally at levels of conversation. Majority of time spent using a computer/laptop at a workstation and related office equipment. Time spent carrying, reaching, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling up to 9 kilograms / 20 pounds Occasional - 1-33% of shift. Subject to extended periods of sitting; may be required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk short to moderate distances to perform work. Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment if needed. Must be available to travel for out of town projects when needed.
