Job Details

Your Role:

As a Civil Engineer Designer III, supporting our Educational Site Development and Public Works Engineering Team in our Los Angeles, CA office, you'll utilize your expertise to contribute work performed on Land/Site Development and Public Works projects while working in a team-oriented setting and interacting with clients.

Responsibilities:

Work under minimal supervision, providing support to a project team
Help with the development of projects and transform initial rough product designs using computer aided design (CAD) into working documents
Be responsible for organizing and executing the preparation of base drawings, plans, and exhibits using CAD
Perform thorough quality control (QA/QC) of models and sheet files for standards compliance
Assist in utility investigation and coordination
Maintain structure and organization of project files and standards
Create, maintain, and edit municipal or educational site projects from concept through final construction drawings
Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions
Support other team members as needed

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
A minimum of 5 years' experience in civil engineering and design in site development engineering projects
EIT Certification
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D and proficiency in MS Office Suite
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to adapt with changing priorities
Self-motivated to work on individual tasks and in a team environment
Must be able to communicate with verbal and written clarity
