Description

We are seeking a Full-Time Civil Design Engineer in our Omaha office. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, public officials and clients to develop land development plans. This individual will have a proven track record of civil engineering design expertise. Additionally, this candidate will:

• Produce design plans and specifications for residential and commercial land development.
• Prepare civil engineering design calculations, high-level technical designs, drainage reports and cost estimates
• Work with city, county and state regulatory or reviewing authorities identifying appropriate design criteria and limitation

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or related degree from an EAC/ABET, CEAB-accredited engineering program, or program that is meeting the NCEES Engineering Education Standard
• Engineer in Training ( E.I.T. or E.I. ) Designation
• Four (4) years of progressively responsible engineering experience
• Demonstrated experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office
• Experience with design, hydrologic and hydraulic computations, computer modeling and presentation of results.
• Demonstrated team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Six (6) years of progressively responsible engineering experience
• Registered Professional Civil Engineer
• Knowledge of the Omaha Regional Design Manual and PERMIX
