Position Title: Chief Software Architect, Engineering

Location: Snoqualmie, Washington (Hybrid )

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for design engineering of software solutions using, C, C++, C#, Verilog, and Visual Basic.
• Design and implementation of state estimation algorithms.
• Research and specification of new software for development projects i.e., Dual GPS receiver integration into a new INS/GPS, and identify software requirements, coding as well as budgeting and scheduling of these activities.
• Design and implementation of embedded real-time operating systems (RTOS) within an ARM platform.
• Sensor fusion system design and analysis.
• Performs updates on software document control including in Technical User Guides and in our C Code Library.
• Directs test software design and change management for improved software for new and existing products, as well as all internal test software.
• Works closely with the CEO, Chief Scientist, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, and Senior Test Technicians in the design, development, and productization of software.
• Estimates budget and schedule of design software development for prototype and production units.
• Works closely with manufacturing and test support activities.
• Manages technical interface and provides guidance to test, to guarantee product quality, and to meet product cost metrics as necessary.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications

• BS degree in electrical engineering and/or computer science or equivalent knowledge through combined experience and/or other recognized education institution
• Proficient in software design for both embedded units and testing and strong knowledge of microprocessor requirements and operations
• Proficient in software design for Windows-based data acquisition systems and strong knowledge of MFC, DLL, and SDK developments.
• Experience with embedded ARM platforms and ARM assembly
• Experience with hard real-time systems
• Experience with Kernel and board support package (BSP) development
• Experience in software design, test, troubleshooting, certification, and documentation capability
• Skilled in project management with the ability to multi-task
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Design principles as applicable
• Skilled communicator with the ability to work well in a highly motivated advanced technology team environment
• Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment
• Strong organizational leadership skills.
• Extensive experience in working with stakeholders to create hiring strategies to develop high-performance work teams with experience in recruiting engineers and contributors.
• Must be knowledgeable about GNC industry trends, best practices, and change management.
