Certification Coordinator (Req ID 2022-590) Engineering Lincoln, Nebraska Battle Creek, Michigan Provo, Utah Apply The Certification Coordinator provides professional leadership while accepting full ownership, managing and coordinating multiple assigned Engineering and Certification projects. This position responds to internal and external customer inquiries regarding certification projects; coordinates timely release of data packages, to include design and substantiation data; interfaces with FAA representatives as required; and provides technical leadership and assistance to team members and serves as a mentor for less experienced team members. The Certification Coordinator - Project accepts responsibility, demonstrates initiative and attention to detail, and projects a professional image consistent with the company's mission, values and goals. Essential Job Functions + Accepts full ownership, manages and coordinates multiple assigned Engineering and Certification projects including serving as primary point of contact for certification issues. Leads various project meetings to kick-off projects, maintains awareness of work scope or associated issues, and provides guidance on certification documentation requirements. Provides complete, accurate, and timely updates with respect to established project timelines. Coordinates with various departments (Engineering management, Sales, Customer Services, production, etc.) regarding certification project related issues. Demonstrates a high level of commitment to customer service and satisfaction. + Works with Engineering scheduler and project lead to develop realistic project assignments and timelines. Assists in the updating and monitoring of certification flow charts. Notifies management of any potential schedule changes or emerging technical issues that could jeopardize the schedule/project. Tracks and reports on action items related to individual certification projects. + Monitors workflow of certification documents to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Engineering and ODA procedures and standards and timely completion of documentation for project closure. Prepares and review certification documents, as assigned and as required. + Provides technical leadership and assistance to team members. Mentors less experienced team members and new staff to increase the overall skill level of the team on a day to day basis. Leads by example, fostering a commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement to peers and other employees. + Participates in identifying and establishing Best Practices and preferred processes. + Performs other duties assigned by management. Job Specific Requirements + Licenses/Certificates: Qualified for ODA Unit Member + Attendance: Regularly scheduled attendance required; occasional travel as required + Physical: Reads small print; repetitive motion; tolerates sitting + Environmental: N/A + Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 5:00 PM Education and Experience + Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent experience preferred + Proficiency with Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Project, etc.) preferred + Previous project management or supervisory experience working with technical projects preferred. + Minimum 5 years alterations, STC, certification/airworthiness, or quality control experience + Previous experience working with the FAA required Available Benefits + Moving is expensive and hard work!
