Our long-term client relationship with NASA has led to the need for a Commercial Crew Program (CCP) Navigation Simulation and Modeling Engineer to analyze CCP provider's ascent/abort navigation systems with the intent of providing insight/oversight into how navigation errors would impact vehicle requirements/constraints. The candidate will join our team with JETS teammate company, Barrios Technology, Inc.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Analyze CCP design reference documents and navigation sensors to determine which systems are to model in the CCP 6-DOF GN&C simulation to support navigation error/modeling.
- Provide oversight of the design and functionality of commercial partner's navigation systems.
- Support the development, integration, and testing of modeled HW/FSW in a GN&C simulation environment.
- Perform analysis to evaluate how navigation errors would impact vehicle requirements/constraints.
- Formally document the results of all design and analysis activities.
- Perform other duties as required.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
- This position reports to the Program Manager
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering school.
- Skills and experience should include:
- Familiarity with navigation concepts.
- Knowledge in the design, analysis, and implementation of navigation algorithms.
- Experience with spacecraft simulation modeling and analysis of integrated GN&C systems.
- Experience programming in C++ and knowledge of Matlab/Simulink.
- The proven ability to solve complex total GN&C system and simulation problems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment consisting of NASA civil servants and various contractor employees.
REQUISITION PREFERENCES:
- MS in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
