Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems has an opening for a Capture Manager - Manager Systems Engineering 3 within the Systems Engineering (SE) Directorate to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.
Job Summary
This campaign/capture lead will lead the overall capture effort, including investment strategy, supplier and contract partnerships, technical development, and customer relationships and alignment with priorities. The Lead will perform front-end System Engineering oversight and coordinate resources across other capture efforts, balancing staffing demands with a broad scope of influence, including space vehicle/ ground architecting, larger enterprise considerations, and future system planning. Candidate must be comfortable with briefing at the executive level and establishing NDAs, working with GSC, teaming, and sourcing.
This role is a full time position functionally reporting through the Mission Engineering & Operations Center.
Role and Responsibilities
Primary job responsibilities include:
-Lead capture team of 10-20 engineers of many disciplines in a rapid and dynamic environment
-Lead overall capture effort and strategy, including customer engagement and alignment
-Manage cost and schedule
-Strong collaboration across the portfolio teams and capture community
-Strong Systems Engineering leadership and ability to build collaborative culture

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline with 7+ years of experience in engineering OR a Master's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline with 5+ years of experience in engineering OR a PhD in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline with 3+ years of experience in engineering
- SCI access/DoD Clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 years
- Prior management experience leading a team and supporting multiple programs
- Broad understanding of system engineering processes and products with a proven ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to these discipline areas
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math)
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience interfacing with senior management, peers, and employees
- Aptitude to develop and execute to a strategy
- Self-directed technical leader with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in Systems Engineering on Space Programs
- Knowledge of the technical disciplines managed under the SA or SVD&I Departments
- Active Top Secret clearance

Salary Range: $171,000 USD - $256,400 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
