Job Overview

Position: Canadian Red Cross Hurricane Fiona Customer Support

Position Status: Short Term- 3 Weeks with Potential for Extension

Hours of Work: Monday - Sunday 8:00am - 8:00pm EST

Rate of Pay: $17.05/English - $19.00/Bilingual (English & French)

Position Overview:

As a Customer Support, you will be serving as the first point of contact for existing and potential donors, instructors, and participants wishing to donate to the Hurricane Fiona Relief. Come join NTT and the Canadian Red Cross for several weeks to help people across Canada from coast to coast who wish to help by providing donations. To do this, we are building a team of smart, empathetic, collaborative, and energized people who are excited about what they do and are ready to make an impact!

Responsibilities:

Three Week Contract with potential for extension
Deliver first class service by accurately assessing and responding to customer needs, using a pleasant, courteous, professional, and well-informed manner.
Demonstrate the ability to connect with others by displaying strong interpersonal skills and empathy.
Responds to program-specific and generic enquiries from donors, instructors, participants.
Show enthusiasm for the Red Cross's donors, demonstrating appreciation for donor's support in each interaction
Educating donors on Red Cross Philanthropy initiatives, showing superior communication skills to find ways to add value to the reason for supporting the Canadian Red Cross in every interaction
Provide support to donors by assessing and responding to all inquiries, while using sound judgment and flexibility to deliver appropriate options and recommendations.
Support other Red Cross initiatives, as needed, to provide for a coordinated team effort to meeting the needs of the most vulnerable in the community.
Show passion towards the power of humanity in Canada and around the world.
Communicate with potential donors to gain insight on needs, preferences, and donation habits to successfully position Canadian Red Cross initiative's, mission, and goals
Promote donations from prospective donors by educating and broadening their awareness of Canadian Red Cross fundraising efforts in order to encourage financial contributions
Raise donations for Canadian Red Cross initiatives to meet or surpass fundraising targets
Solicit cash, cheque, or in-kind donations from individual or business donors
Build on existing donor relationships and foster new donor relationships with each interaction
Requirements:
Excellent communication skills
High School Diploma is required.
Strong knowledge of PCs, familiarity with system navigation, and proven keyboard skills.
Demonstrate passion for customer satisfaction and prior experience in an interactive customer service environment is required.
Possess the ability to read and influence current and potential donors.
Highly self-motivated, self-reliant, self-competitive and will push themselves to exceed expectations.
Has a strong ability to take action to meet and exceed customer expectations with integrity
Attentive, caring, and respectful towards all donors, participants, and instructors.
