Summary:
- Perform complex and advanced design and drafting functions in support of various internal areas utilizing appropriate technology or tools such CAD/CAM/CATAI, etc. Interface with multiple internal engineering, documentation and other functions as well as external vendors.
- Under general or minimal supervision, provide complex drafting services including layout drawings and preparation of detailed blueprints, maps, charts and graphs from general instruction and/or preliminary sketches, diagrams and schematics.
- Converts rough product design sketches into working documents by digitizing with CAD/CAM technology or other means.
- Reviews engineering drawings and supporting documentation to verify adherence to standard practices.
- Has primary responsibility in using mathematical formulas to establish dimensions and tolerances.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate database of all models, assemblies and drawings following procedures of the Baxter Product Database Management (PDM) system.
- Train and review work of less experienced personnel.
- May lead limited scope projects.
- Perform work with minimum supervision and have the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Must have good interpersonal and problem solving skills.
- Interpret engineering concepts and design requirements.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Ability to reach above the shoulder
- Ability to bend/stoop
- Associates degree or equivalent with 5+ years of related experience
