Convert client specifications into a physical drawing using floor plans, quotes and purchase orders; help design new products, update existing products; create standard models, edit any changes based on the customers preference.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Convert client specifications into a physical drawing using floor plans, quotes and purchase orders; help design new products, update existing products; create standard models, edit any changes based on the customers preference.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research, apply standard, custom product line and methods of sheet metal fabrication to product drawings
- Troubleshoot problems with other CAD Draftspersons concerning specific projects and equipment requests
- Drafts detailed drawings of equipment using Auto Cad programs
- Queries similar drawings previously completed by the company to assist in drawing new products.
- Communicates with customers to clarify questions regarding equipment requests
- Coordinate with other teams to ensure the model is correct
- Associates degree in drafting from a Technical School
- Minimum 1-year experience / training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Hands on experience with CAD software
- Previous experience working with stainless steel materials and in a manufacturing setting as a drafter
- Proven ability to meet deadlines
- Solid mathematical skills and problem solving
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proven ability to use various drafting software (Auto Cad; Solid Works, etc.)
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Quality and Detail conscious
- Able to read blueprints and measuring accurately
