Job Summary
Serves the organization, patients, and other customers by providing a wide range of cabling related technical services. Support IT Desktop and telecommunications services includes systems deployment, and troubleshooting of cabling. Is responsible for certification of category 3, 5, and 6 data cable, providing repairs, installation, upgrades and configuration of new and existing infrastructures. provides onsite and remote moves, adds, changes and repair of various configuration of low voltage systems.

Job Specific and Unique Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Install cabling systems, operate testing equipment to certify cabling to meet ANSTI/TIA/EIA standards
Coordinate installation with contactors on site to facilitate the installation of low voltage systems
Knowledge and skill necessary to make repairs and maintenance on low voltage systems
Understands and interprets cabling systems to meet specifications
Maintain inventory of material to meet work load and specifications
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
Repairs and maintains Cabling Network and related equipment at all NGHS owned facilities, in a timely, efficient manner.
Initiates service repairs to ensure timely repair.
Analyzes problems, repairs Jacks and cabling certifies with minimum down time.
Provides proper documentation on preventive maintenance IDF's and MDF.
Assists other maintenance and IT personnel in performing repairs and preventive maintenance on support equipment.
Provides required documentation on the preventive maintenance system. Stating corrective action taken.
Properly plans installation of new low voltage cabling systems.
Coordinates installations in a manner to ensure minimum inconvenience to patients and employees.
Inventory materials and maintains stock for repairs and installations.
Certification of data cable.
