Responsibilities:

• Timely planning and purchasing of items to arrive within Work Order schedule date.
• Effectively manage supplier and category performance.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers, utilizing strong experience in fundamental sourcing.
• Perform analysis, interpret results, and provide effective recommendations.
• Determine and implement appropriate leverage to achieve best price, balancing cost with operational considerations.
• Provide quotes of superior quality and competitiveness to ensure BOM completeness to meet customer requirements and company standards.
• Interface with all applicable internal customers as needed.
• Lead improvement initiatives, i.e., research commodities for new development.
• Seek out challenges and additional responsibilities.
• Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must be able to deliver effective presentations.

Technical Skills:

• Associate degree required, bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum of 3-5 years of purchasing experience depending on education
• Solid computer skills, including MS Office (excel, word, outlook)

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines (strong time management)
