Body Repair Technician

Responsibilities:

• Interior repair on dashboards, center consoles, cloth and leather, and chip repair
• light sanding up to matching body lines
• Blocking and glazing
• Removal / installing of adhesive labels / wraps
• Crease repair
• Stud welding
• Recreating body lines
• Plastic repair
• Fiberglass repair
• Hammering out or filling depressions with body filler, remove damaged fenders/panels
• Utilize air sanders, spray guns, sanding blocks, etc. in order to complete quality work
• Manage and control materials cost maximizing usage and inventory
• Assist in prep work when necessary
• Adhere to all regulatory compliance guidelines for hazardous waste disposal
• Maintain clean, orderly and organized work area
• Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time
• Comply with safety rules, guidelines, and standards

Required Skills and Experience:

• Experience as a body shop tech in a automotive or bus setting
  Ability to read and follow work instructions with strong attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for quality control
• Self-starter with ability to complete work with quality and on time without constant supervision
• Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions and Company Safety Policies.
• Multi-taking; adapts easily to fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Frequent physical activity such as kneeling, bending, squatting, stooping, lifting above shoulders is a part of daily activity as well as repetitive tasks involving hand and arm motion and lifting objects
• Must be able to push/pull parts carts with assistance
