Job Overview
We are looking to hire bindery and crew members for full time positions. We currently have openings on 2nd and 3rd shifts.
Shift:
Second Shift: Mon-Thurs, 2pm-Midnight (4 x 10 hour shifts per week)
Third Shift: Mon-Thurs, 10pm-8am (4 x 10 hour shifts per week)
Responsibilities (bindery):
-Removing finished books from conveyor and placing them on pallets or in cartons.
-Stacking bundles of text into appropriate pockets for correct and accurate book assembly.
-Use of hand jack to raise and lower pallet and to move pallets throughout the plant.
- Inspection of books before packing.
-Cleaning work area during scheduled maintenance and keep an orderly and clean work area.
Responsibilities (press):
-Prepare and load paper rolls onto splicer portion of press
-Use press boards and twine to bundle text, and stack bundles on pallets
-Inspection of text and communication with operator regarding quality issues.
-Cleaning work area during scheduled maintenance and keep an orderly and clean work area.
Physical Requirements:
-Good physical dexterity is required, frequent lifting of up to 35lbs, bending, and twisting.
-Standing/Walking 100% of work time.
-Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
