Job Overview

Summary DPS is looking for a MEP-RSE (Manufacturing, Electrical, Plumbing Responsible System Engineer) to work for a client in the New Bedford, MA area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all Base building utility systems and GMP process utilities. They also will be support construction activities and coordinate all Start-up activities and schedules. Key Responsibilities Technical responsibility for all Base Building utility systems and GMP process utilities Support construction activities (RFI's, submittal approvals etc) Coordinate all Start-up activities and schedules Support all commissioning activities Develop all maintenance SOP's and ensure data is properly entered in CMMS Define spare parts inventory and work with procurement team to purchase Review and approve all vendor ETOP packages The candidate is the local interface for matters related to Mechanical, Electrical & plumbing activities, in relation with the project manager. Main activities are: follow-up on design adaptations, technical participation to suppliers expediting, preparation for installation & commissioning of process & utilities equipment Ensures updates of all specifications for Purchase Order (by others), including interfaces with automation & installation Participates in clarification meetings with equipment suppliers Transfers equipment data to the project manager as necessary for coordination with other disciplines Reviews updates of documents interfacing with other disciplines general utilities consumptions Assesses impact of changes linked to suppliers' details/requests for changes. Validates technical answers, and gets the necessary support in this Reviews the equipment list & items to be purchased Participates to acceptance of detailed layout studies Participates to suppliers' identification / visits / audits / selection during bidding / inspections Supervises / checks utilities PIDs (UIDs) updates, utilities lines list, quality requirements general utilities / process gases Takes care of OSBL (distribution of utilities, infrastructure etc.) Skills & Qualifications BS degree in life sciences, engineering or computer science field or equivalent experience. Prior experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry, working within development group preferred Ability to organize and prioritize, work independently and meet deadlines Strong organizational/communication skills (both verbal and written) required. Experience in interacting with all levels of management and with global colleagues.
