Our client, a leader in the automotive industry, is looking for an Automotive Technician to join their team in Belmont, California. This person will join a team focused on connected cars, autonomous driving, and parking development projects.

This is an on-going contract with Benefits, PTO, and Paid Holidays.

Responsibilities

• Fleet repair and maintenance.
• Participate in failure analysis, test drives, repairs, and tooling.
• Fulfill engineering team requests by modifying prototypes and preproduction parts in vehicles.
• Integrate prototype units (coding, adaptation, wiring, etc.) into prototype vehicles.
• Create custom fabrication, mounts, and wiring harnesses.
• Update and flash ECUs/vehicle components
• Maintain production records for all fleet vehicles.
• Assist in the development of Advanced Driving Assistance Features, Infotainment and Connectivity.

Desired Experience

• 3+ years as an automotive technician
• 2+ year of advanced diagnosis on complex issues
• Oil changes, tires, brakes, major service
• Fabricate custom parts in the machine shop to modifying existing equipment and customize prototype components and parts: mill, lathe, TiG welding, MiG welding
