Job Description
We are currently seeking a qualified individual to join our service department as a Lube Tech. The Lube Tech is an entry level position with room to grow in either a full time or part time capacity. Applicants with a customer service interest will have the opportunity to become a Service Advisor, while those with a technical interest could become Technicians. Our Lube Techs service vehicles as assigned by management following all established standards and procedures, which includes rotating tires, performing multi-point inspections, and changing automotive fluids.
The ideal candidate has a high energy level and a desire to work in a fast paced environment along with great social and customer service skills, strong organizational and problem solving skills, and a positive attitude. Candidates must have a valid driver's license, must be able to drive both manual and automatic transmissions, and must be able to pass a background check that includes driving record and a drug test. Our employees enjoy a balanced work week, and Sundays are always off. We offer a competitive starting wage and benefits are available for full time employees.
Responsibilities
Checks all fluids and maintenance-related parts and tops-off or replaces fluids or filters/parts as required
Performs routine service inspections or tests and completes standard maintenance jobs, which includes rotating tires
Maintains cleanliness of vehicles while performing service or repairs
Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
Performs other duties as required by management
Qualifications
High energy level, positive attitude, and the desire to work in a fast paced environment
Excellent customer service focus
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff
Highly organized and detail oriented
Good problem solving skills
Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
Must be able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
Knowledge of automotive servicing or repair highly desired
Experience in a similar role a plus
Neat, clean, and professional appearance
Basic computer and internet skills
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
