Description:
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
- Chemical engineering, chemistry, physics or materials science, degree from an accredited college or University required.
- Assess and support legacy product lines and customers.
- US DoD Security Clearance or ability to obtain a US DoD security clearance Required.
- Proven experience with leading technology development, including setting technical priorities, guiding research strategy, and understanding the relationship between fundamental research, iterative process development, prototyping and product development.
- Experience managing people working in a lab environment: strong focus on best lab practices and data analysis, familiarity with scientific instrumentation, promoting a culture of safety across the site.
- Passion for mentoring engineers at different stages of their career development as well as providing technical expertise for guiding their projects from concept to delivery.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in the development of plans schedules and estimates with Earned Value Management techniques.
- Experience developing technical, and financial, proposal estimates with strong basis of justification.
- Strong writing, presentation and oral communication skills.
- Experience managing engineering teams developing nascent battery technologies.
- Hands-on experience performing electrochemical experiments.
- Strong experience designing fundamental electrochemical experiments, performing rigorous. data analysis and integrating those results with mechanical, electrical and firmware engineering teams.
- Knowledge of battery system architectures and systems engineering aspects of battery design.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; possesses strong organization and prioritization skills.
- Strong facilitator to design, lead organizational improvements and track to completion.
- Experience producing executive summaries and metrics for progress reporting and to communicate opportunities/focus areas.
- Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry preferred.
