What you will do:

• Performs routine building maintenance tasks as assigned
• Prepares and organizes materials and equipment
• Cleans and maintains tools and equipment
• Provide assistance to the Housekeeping team, on occasion, with projects such as carpet/floor cleaning or moving furniture
• Report needed repairs or replacements of equipment and tools to their supervisor
• Makes notes of any problems found, or residents' comments, and turns them in daily to the supervisor
• Respond to building emergencies during any time on or off-shift
• Provide assistance to the Housekeeping team, on occasion, with projects such as carpet/floor cleaning or moving furniture
• Take note of supplies running low or in need or replacement and reports it to the supervisor
• Performs daily rounds and check of various safety systems as assigned, including completing related record keeping
• Other duties as assigned or may be necessary in an organization having overlapping roles and responsibilities.

What you will need to succeed:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Previous additional specialized training or work experience, other experience in a senior living community or hospitality setting is preferred
• Must be able to work in different physical positions to complete tasks, while providing a variety of physically demanding, maintenance-related tasks inside and outside of the building. Must have good manual dexterity and the ability to work with tools and equipment
• Be able to follow oral and written directions and instruction
• Provide excellent customer service
