Description:

Our client is a Construction contractor based out of Sterling, VA. They specializes in ALL DENTAL INTERIORS, and is rated the top dental interiors construction firm in NOVA. This is 96% of all construction that they do, and is the only directly relatable experience to the type of work they are doing. In Dental construction, there are different machines, doctors offices, tools, that superintendents who have worked on this type of work will understand, and that is mission critical to the success of these dental projects. The only other mainly relevant type of commercial interiors construction would be medical interiors (some other kind of doctors office). In addition, all of the projects that our client does are usually between $300k - $600k in value, so they are all tiny/small projects for the most part. The projects that they do outside of dental (5%) are all interiors jobs, and are a combination of restaurants, spas, and other cool commercial interiors projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintaining a log on their projects and providing daily updates

Communicating with Project Manager and Operations Manager

Managing sub-contractors and ensuring they are onsite working efficiently

Updating sub-contractors on any project changes

Maintaining a neat and organized job site

Being available any and all times a project requires the necessary attention

Reviewing and understanding all project plans and design elements before a project has begun

Enforcing company site policies

Implementing and enforcing the set site schedule

Being able to work nights and weekends if and when required

Enforcing all building rules and regulations

Adhering to the project budget

Identifying and communicating change orders outside the scope of work

Communicating with building engineers as needed and giving adequate notices to building management for work they've requested

1. 2-7 years of Assistant Superintendent/Superintendent experience working on small commercial interiors projects ($200k - $900k

3. Ability to read and interpret blueprints in regards to tenant interiors projects

Work Environment:

-The work environment will be mainly on the job site, but will also be in the office as needed as well

-This will be a collaborative environment, but this individual will still need the professionalism/skills to work alone when needed
