LHH is working with a construction company in the Dallas area that is adding an Assistant Controller to their team. This company has developed a great reputation within their space, and their projections for the future are very positive. The ideal candidate for this role has a minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry. This person will manage a team, but will also need to be hands on. In this role you will be responsible for percentage of completion, financial statement consolidations, intercompany eliminations, and serve as the point of contact for the external audit.

Job Responsibilities

Manage periodic financial close process, review journal entries, and balance sheet account reconciliations

Management of the annual audit process in a timely and efficient manner

Coordinate the corporate consolidation process with support from the finance organization

Aid senior management in forecasting business revenue

Support Controller in all financial matters of the organization

Monitor taxes and provide details for audits

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA required

5+ years experience in accounting

Strong technical, analytical, communication and presentation skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
