The primary responsibility of the Assistant Construction Site Coordinator is to assist the ICG residential team by coordinating tasks to ensure efficiency on each jobsite. The Assistant Construction Site Coordinator plays a critical role in our day-to-day field operations and allows ICG to maintain a clean, orderly, and safe jobsite. This position allows for an understanding of the entire Residential Division and project operation.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to utilize critical thinking skills to identify issues and work independently to correct them, have knowledge and a solid understanding of new commercial projects and most importantly be a team member to ensure a timely and quality project completion.
Job Purpose: Largely responsible for assisting the ICG site superintendent in all aspects of foreman level construction duties and coordination for commercial projects.
Job Duties:
Complies will all construction safety standards and is aware of safe work practices, follows all established safety rules and procedures with all legal regulations.
Assist the Construction Site Coordinator with unloading trucks, receiving materials by performing counts against delivery paperwork (purchase order/receiver). Tracks all delivery paperwork and submits to Supervisor daily. Stores all materials in designated locations.
Cleans and organizes the jobsite daily, taking primary direction for the ICG site coordinator and superintendent.
Maintains storage areas, cleans up dunnage and banding materials, organizes materials to allow for proper inventory and material selection. Maintains any material coverings to protect materials for the elements.
Enforces all ICG and OSHA regulated safety policy and compliance and conducts safety inspections as needed.
Understands building codes.
Has a solid grasp of complex mathematical concepts, and basic math functions and calculations.
Must be able to use a wide variety of hand and power tools.
Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects, such as framing lumber, sheets of plywood and various building materials.
Various other construction tasks as required, to include but not limited to:
Building mock walls
Punch work
Truss engineering
Reading and interpretation of plans and blueprints
Layout of work
Qualification and Requirements:
Has at least two (1) years of qualified experience
Understanding of building concepts, codes, regulations, laws, and best practices and is a team player.
Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
Valid PIT certification.
General construction safety orientation/certification.
Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
Must be able to successfully pass a drug-screen, pre-employment physical and a criminal background check.
Must be able to prove eligibility to work in the United States.
English fluency (Bilingual Spanish is a plus).
Rate of pay will be commensurate with experience.
Must be willing to work overtime
Other Requirements:
Must be very detail oriented.
Must possess strong organizational skills and problem-solving skills.
Methodical inventory tracking.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Travel is required, as necessary.
