TX2 Engineering (and Summit Group SW, INC.) has an opening for an Assistant Civil Engineer (EIT) to join our New Braunfels team. We are looking for a motivated individual with a strong desire to learn and become an integral part of a collaborative and growing firm. This is an early career position and we are looking for an individaul with 0-2 years of experience.

As a part of the TX2 team, the qualified individual for this position will assist the engineering staff with the planning, design, and execution of commercial, residential, and multi-family land development projects. Duties will include construction document preparation for roads, storm drainage systems, storm water management facilities, water and sanitary sewer utility design, sediment and erosion control, horizontal and vertical control, and traffic control.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
• Previous internship at a Civil Design Firm
• Familiar with engineering principles, techniques, and procedures
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders including clients and business partners
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Ability to manage multiple projects and capable of discerning prioritized tasks within the timeline of each project
• Team-oriented mentality
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
