Valiant Group is looking to hire an Architect to support the Department of Energy's needs on a new Lithium Processing Facility (LPF) facility design. Remote working is possible for this position ; periodic travel to Oak Ridge once every 4 - 6 weeks. The work will be full-time and last from 18-24 months.
Position can be a W2 or 1099 position
Job Responsibilities:
Researches, programs, plans, designs, and administers building projects for clients.
Produces conceptual plans, renderings, and documents.
Utilizes computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs and plans.
Produces construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit.
Works with the Project Manager, may direct, supervise, and check activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents for the Conceptual Design Phase, Schematic Design Phase, and/or the Detailed Design Phase of a project.
Interfaces with Director of Architecture and project managers.
Works in tandem with highly collaborative multi-discipline design teams.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture from an accredited institution
Licensed Architect for the state of Tennessee is highly preferred
5+ years of architectural experience preferably within the manufacturing and processing facility industry or related field
Understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, building construction, building systems and site requirements
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office suite is required
Technically creative and open-minded.
