Job Summary

Produce quality contract design documents, while maintaining the firms' deliverable standards. Responsible for the daily coordination of internal team design efforts into the drawings and specifications, including communication and coordination with consultants. Provide progress oversight and monitoring of deliverables with team members, including upstream communication with project manager. Coordinates construction administration efforts. Assists project managers and senior architects in the execution of specific assignments.

Primary Responsibilities

• Working in a collaborative studio environment under supervision of Sr Architect or Project Manager
• Ability to complete a full set of contract documents from Concept to CD Phase
• Oversee construction administration efforts, including shop drawing and submittal reviews, responding to contractor RFI's, and providing ASI's
• Capable of leading multiple projects simultaneously
• Able to coordinate design documents with engineering consultants
• Responsible for daily design and technical development of projects

• Proficient with Building Codes & Accessibility Standards determining logical and efficient design solutions

• Possess BIM coordination skills and able to coordinate consultant models and provide clash detection
• Strong verbal and written skills for producing memos, meeting minutes, correspondence
• Provide mentorship to junior team members
• Extensive knowledge of architectural detailing and current construction standards
• Efficiently manage construction administration processes
• Knowledge of codes, consultant's coordination (civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural), and ability to successfully complete the permitting process with minimal aid and supervision
• Ability to think critically, communicate clearly and possess the potential to develop management skills

Requirements

• 3-7 years of architectural design, construction administration, and related professional experience
• Bachelor's degree in architecture from an accredited program preferred
• Architectural licensure desired but not required
• Experience with quality high-end custom residential and commercial projects
• Understanding of architectural design and related fields.
• Advanced proficiency in REVIT and other software and their application to construction documents
• Adept at other software including Photoshop, InDesign, Sketchup, MS Office Suite
