Apprentice Electroplating Technicians
Due to continued increased demand, Penn United Technologies, Inc. is hiring immediately for full-time Apprentice Electroplating Technicians to work at our rapidly growing Plating facility. This position does require the ability to regularly rotate daylight, afternoon and midnight shifts with a 10% shift differential OR be able to work a steady afternoon or steady midnight shift with a 15% shift differential.

Apprentice Electroplating Technician Responsibilities:
Work on the plating shop floor in order to learn required job tasks
Required attendance in our in-house apprenticeship classes held on site one afternoon per week typically from 2:00-4:00 pm
Manage the activities of the plating parts, including setup and maintenance of the lines, plating and inspection of the parts, and the preparation of parts for shipping.
Strive to keep setup and maintenance time to a minimum
Maintain job tracking system
Ensure that chemical inventories are adequately maintained at all times and that orders are properly filed
Follow all safety and quality plans
Study the production schedule and estimate the requirements for completing an order efficiently and effectively
Rotate, on a weekly basis, from daylight, afternoon and midnight shifts OR work a steady afternoon or steady midnight shift
Apprentice Electroplating Technician Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent;
Technical, mechanical and math ability
Attention to detail and ability to prioritize
Able to work as part of a team
Able to work daylight, afternoon, and midnight rotating shifts OR prefer to work a steady afternoon or midnight shift
Able to lift 50 lbs., and stand/walk for 8 hours.
