Refrigeration and Downstream Products Department is seeking a candidate for an Aplications Engineering position within the group. The focus of the candiate will be in the field of Renewable Energy Technologies. Refrigeration and Downstream team consists of highly skilled and motivated sales and applications engineers with various degrees of experience. Considered a core to the success of the company, the group attracts the best and brigthest engineers in the industry and offers unparalleled exposure to the latest technology in the oil, gas and petrochemical markets. In general, projects include process gas compression packages, process refrigeration systems and specialty gas processing facilities. Client base consists of domestic and international oil and gas, petrochemical, and midstream companies and EPCs. In the renewable energy space, the customer base will also consist of project developers in addition to recycling, agricultural and emerging technologies companies. Applications Engineer is responsible for development of the conceptual engineering design, estimating the cost of the system and preparation of sales proposal. The opportunities will have with various degrees of specifications, from low to very high. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assisting sales and business development personnel in evaluating new opportunities. Developing and evaluating the design and performance of the proposed equipment; ensuring deliverability and reliability of the suppliers; meeting Customer's specifications and project time table. Reviewing the scope of supply definition including customer project specifications, preparing process simulation, developing equipment sizing, preparing cost estimates and sales proposals. Developing proposal Process Flow and Proces & Instrumentation diagrams as well as proposal General Arrangement drawings Maintaining knowledge of industry codes and standards applicable to the products in the global market. Interfacing with all operational departments within the company. Maintaining customer relationships; participating in client clarification meetings, as required. Position may require some domestic and international travel. Duties must be performed consistently with the company mission and values and adhere to company policies and procedures Qualifications: Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree. 5-10 years experience with rotating machinery. 2+ years experience with renewable energy technologies including landfill or digester gas to RNG systems. Experience with process simulators, refrigeration and gas processing equipment including fabrication. Being customer-centered and able to maintain satisfied customer and vendor relationships. Having track record of successfully resolving technical problems with a desire and ability to learn. Being organized with attention to detail. Having excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Must be self-motivated and team oriented, capable of learning, managing time, priorities, and operating well under pressure with little supervision.
