About the Role Location United States of America Florida Orlando Organization Gas and Power Business Unit Industrial Applications Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Mid-level Professional A Snapshot of Your Day Located in Orlando, Florida, as an application engineer for our small gas turbine (SGT) fleet in region North America, you will be the technical support for the region. How You'll Make an Impact Develop Service engineered solutions to meet product line requirements for small gas turbine (SGT 100-400) service and outages. Address emergent field service issues to support customer requirements for the Lincoln based units (SGT100-400), in the IGT Engineering group. Provide engineering support for ongoing outages through direct interaction with field service personnel and providing technical support for outage planning activities with the local PM's. Developing and implementing service bulletin procedures modification orders on existing fleet. What You Bring Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Engineering is required. 3+ years of experience with gas turbine operations and troubleshooting is required. Experience with small gas turbine (Lincoln units) component design and service is a plus. Experience and good knowledge of the different controls system (Allen Bradley, Siemens PCS7, Siemens T3000), auxiliaries and packages design related to SGT is desirable. Broad background in rotating machinery encompassing an appreciation of manufacturing methods and procedures as well as technical competence in mechanical engineering disciplines is desirable. Approximately 5 % travel is required. (Domestic) As a federal contractor, Siemens Energy continues to monitor federal and state legal guidelines regarding the COVID-19 vaccine mandate.
