This role is responsible for processing payment runs in addition to supporting the accounts payable team with answering vendor payment questions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Process payment runs for all weekly Essential Utility companies as well as special payment runs which include: retiree payments, board of director payments as well as miscellaneous tax payments. Partner with treasury team to reconcile payment run discrepancies Reconcile vendor statements to payment records along with answering vendor payment inquiries Maintain Business Partner (BP) function in SAP which is where we make all changes to vendor information such as address and payment instructions. Establishes and maintains SOX compliance documents in accordance with requirements. Partners with AP supervisor to prepare annual Federal 1099 Forms QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field Minimum of two years experience in accounts payable or other accounting related functions. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: A basic understanding of SAP reporting system Knowledge of Microsoft Office, and Excel Spreadsheets Excellent written and verbal communications skills; communicate effectively (clearly, concisely and professionally) with internal customers Strong customer service skills Ability to work well under pressure Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment Extraordinary attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
