What you will do:

Responsible for the overall project management of low carbon, pipeline and/or station construction projects, including all testing & commissioning, tendering, cost, schedule, quality, safety, environment, and risk as the key elements of execution.

Ensure that effective planning, design, communication, and working rapport are achieved across all stakeholder groups, for the purpose of facilitating delivery-to-plan by responsible functions with a keen awareness of interrelationships among all stakeholders.

Address technical questions or problems arising during construction and facilitate correct interpretation of design specifications, construction and logistics plans, and schedules.

Coordinate plans and execution of all tie-ins and testing. Build commissioning plans, and facilitate any resources and approvals required, including internal work permits.

Lead comprehensive design, constructability, operability reviews, and project risk assessments to assist in developing and implementing appropriate strategies to resolve challenges.

As a subject matter advisor, demonstrate detailed understanding of construction practices.

Assess, identify, and mitigate all project related risks pertaining to construction and other elements of assigned projects.

Ensure alignment between contractor deliverables, project needs, business needs, as well as all applicable regulatory and all other technical requirements.

Prepare project execution cost estimates and construction schedules throughout all stages of the project lifecycle. Ensure effective monitoring and tracking of same for the purposes of forecasting delivery-to-plan.

Who you are:

Related university degree in Engineering and four plus years' experience or an equivalent mix of formal education and experience.

Highly effective interpersonal skills with the ability to independently lead and/or coordinate work with diverse groups and individual personalities as appropriate (project team, internal and external partners, customers contractors).

Proven planning, organizational, problem solving, decision making and negotiating skills, conflict resolution, supplemented with a practical proficiency.

Flexibility to perform under short time constraint to meet deadlines.

Following are the preferred skills:

P.Eng/CET and/or PMP designation would be an asset.

Project management experience relating to field operations, construction, pipeline/station design, and planning.

Experience pertaining to renewable natural gas, compressed natural gas, the use of hydrogen as a fuel, or other low-carbon technologies is considered an asset.

Working Conditions

This role is comprised of both office and field work (50% - 50%, respectively). A valid G driver's licence and maintenance of a responsible driving record is required.

This role requires some travel between project sites and offices within Ontario.
