Job Description

Administrator, Accounts Payable

HITT Contracting Inc. is seeking an Administrator to join the Project Accounting team in our Charleston, South Carolina office. This team member will serve as an accounts payable lead and be responsible for supporting and processing payables using automation processes in an accurate and timely manner. Key to this position is a strong attention to detail, excellent customer service, and thrives on a consistent routine. The ideal candidate presents a positive attitude and can perform in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable process automation workflows including but not limited to Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and robotic process automation action centers
• Process a high volume of invoices ensuring accurate and timely processing
• Respond to accounts payable inquiries from internal and external parties
• Ensure organizational compliance with proper electronic documentation filing
• Assist with accounting records for audit purposes
• Guide vendors on account setup steps in our enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and ongoing compliance standards
• Assist in gathering payable support for client billing as needed
• Provide administrative support to Project Accounting team
• Ad-hoc tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of accounts payable experience required
• High School diploma required; college degree preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred including but not limited to v-lookup and pivot tables
• Experience working with OCR and ERP systems is highly preferred
• Knowledge of basic clerical and administrative procedures is required
• Strong communication and customer service ability
