As the Area Account Manager in the Greater Newark area, you will directly manage the service delivery of our Steel Customers, indirectly support the service delivery at our local Refiner Customers, and build relationships with new customers in Refinery, Midstream, and Steel markets. You will be responsible for ensuring that Baker Hughes maximizes its short- and long-term revenue and profit opportunities while ensuring flawless execution, on-time delivery, contract adherence and cash collection. You will support the identification and development of new sales opportunities through an understanding of customers' needs and requirements.

As Area Account Manager in Downstream Chemicals, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring all activities carried out according to our non-negotiables & our cultural pillars.
- Maintaining internal compliance and HSE standards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Building long-term strategic relationships with customers to originate sales opportunities and develop strategies for business growth.
- Collaborating with the sales operation team and utilizing an understanding of our client's requirements to deliver new sales opportunities in the area.
- Providing mentoring and development support to district team in the area to grow their skill sets and capabilities.
- Managing and overseeing Downstream Chemical account operations in Eastern Ohio and Western PA. Providing direct coverage for our Steel Customer Accounts and indirect area support to our local Refinery Customer Accounts.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor's Degree
- Have experience in refinery operations or sales or industrial process, water, finished fuels, engineering or service
- Demonstrate technical knowledge of refinery procedures and operations.
- Demonstrate the ability to influence others
- Demonstrate business acumen and ability to ensure product and value delivery for our customers
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and an ability to build trusting relationships with internal teams and external customers
- Show the ability to lead and coordinate several projects simultaneously
- Have an understanding of HSE standards, a clear understanding of the compliance and reporting requirements associated with the flawless execution of a Perfect HSE Day
- Have experience with Profit and Loss statements along with an understanding of factors that influence key metrics to support company decision making in the area.
