Performs the leadership duties of a Supervisor. Manages the process of forecasting the demands, energy and gross margins of BGE's electric and gas distribution customers using forecasting models and techniques, as well as the latest available economic and market data. Presents forecasts and variance analyses, along with other pertinent information related to electric and gas usage to executive management, planning and operating personnel, and regulatory bodies.

Provides written and oral testimony related to BGE's electric and gas forecasts to the MD PSC. Functions as BGE's chief economist and represents BGE on external committees and working groups, including PJM, local business and government agencies. Responsible for identifying, recommending and implementing new, cost-effective forecasting methods, mathematical techniques, research efforts, computer applications and data maintenance procedures to improve the forecasting processes.

BGE has an IMMEDIATE NEED for a Supervisor in Electric and Gas Forecasting. The successful candidate manages the process of forecasting the demands, energy and gross margins of BGE's electric and gas distribution customers using forecasting models and techniques, as well as the latest available economic and market data. Presents forecasts and variance analyses, along with other pertinent information related to electric and gas usage to executive management, planning and operating personnel, and regulatory bodies.

Education/Experience:
*   Masters degree in Economics from an accredited university and at least 8 years of job-related experience, or the equivalent combination of formal education, training and experience.

Skills/Abilities:
*   Demonstrated business acumen related to electric and gas utility forecasting and financial projections.
*   Demonstrated analytical ability pertaining to econometric models and other forecasting and financial tools.
*   Demonstrated ability to direct highly complex projects and the work activities of others in a team setting.
*   Demonstrated finance and accounting principles.
*   Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
